Dark Web Crime Investigations Get an AI Assist as S2W Launches DRI Agent

[Financial News] S2W has unveiled an artificial intelligence (AI) agent that independently explores and analyzes data related to cybercrime to support investigations. Users can ask questions in natural language, and the agent tracks and analyzes everything from anonymous account activity and financial transactions to attack techniques. It can then automatically generate intelligence reports for investigative use.
S2W announced on the 8th that it had launched Deep Research Investigator (DRI), an autonomous AI agent specialized in criminal investigations.
DRI, integrated into S2W’s security AI platform XARVIS, links data directly collected by S2W from the so-called “cybercrime hotspots”—including the dark web, deep web, Telegram, and hacking forums—to a real-time knowledge context. It uses this data to analyze cyber threats and provide intelligence needed for investigations.
DRI identifies the necessary information from natural-language queries alone, combines detection and analysis tools, and generates answers. Even users without specialized security expertise can rely on the AI agent to make autonomous judgments and perform tasks, including comprehensive analyses of anonymous account activity histories, financial transaction records, and attack techniques. It also automatically generates evidence-based intelligence reports from the analysis results.
S2W has also introduced safeguards to reduce the risk of AI hallucinations. Using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), DRI provides answers based on actually collected materials and cites the original sources for each conclusion. High-risk, critical judgments require final human verification, while records of the entire process—from searching to reaching conclusions—are retained for review.
S2W plans to introduce DRI at Cyber Summit Korea (CSK 2026), a global cybersecurity event taking place for three days from the 16th at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. The event is hosted by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and the National Security Research Institute.
Lee Jae-young, head of S2W’s security division, said, "We plan to apply the AI agent technology accumulated during DRI’s development to our other product lines, including cyber threat intelligence (CTI) solutions and industry-specific AI platforms, thereby enhancing their scalability and versatility."
