[Financial News] Busan Metropolitan City Government and SK Innovation E&S will jointly host the '2026 I'm In Busan Day' at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX) on the 8th to promote carbon neutrality and foster companies in the clean-energy sector.
The I'm In Busan platform is a university–industry–government cooperation platform launched by SK Innovation E&S in July 2024. The company selected Busan as a partner city for regional mutual growth and cooperation, with the aim of promoting a hydrogen-centered energy transition and building a locally based ecosystem for shared growth.
Approximately 200 domestic and international figures from the hydrogen and clean-energy sectors are expected to attend, including Sony Handra Sudaryana, a director at Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs; Chairul Hudaya, a professor at the University of Indonesia; Jeon Young-jun, executive vice president of SK Innovation E&S; and Yoon Soon-jin, a professor at the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Seoul National University.
The venue will feature a technology exhibition showcasing clean-energy and climate-tech technologies and products from 10 companies and five outstanding startup teams, along with citizen-participation experience booths where visitors can directly experience clean-energy policies.
The Korea–Indonesia Green Tech Startup Summit will also be held, featuring a keynote speech and panel discussion on expanding AI-based climate solutions and promoting climate and energy industry cooperation between Korea and Indonesia.
Business matching sessions between the Indonesian delegation and startup ecosystem stakeholders will follow, along with tours of industrial sites.
In addition, the event will include presentations of the results and an awards ceremony for the 'I'm In Busan Impact Hackathon,' which was organized as a side event to explore the use of AI in responding to climate change.
