[Financial News] Busan Metropolitan City Government announced on the 8th that it will implement the 'Traditional Market Consumption Promotion Refund Support Project (Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund)' at 99 traditional markets in Busan for two days starting on the 11th to encourage visits to traditional markets and boost consumption ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This event, hosted by the Busan Merchants Association, was organized to support increased sales for merchants and revitalize local commercial districts by encouraging re-consumption in traditional markets through refunds of part of the purchase amount in Onnuri Gift Certificates.
If you purchase 40,000 won or more at participating stores, you can receive a refund of 10,000 won in paper Onnuri Gift Certificates, and if you purchase 70,000 won or more, you can receive a refund of 20,000 won.
The refund limit is a maximum of 20,000 won per person during the event period. Receipts from purchases made at the same market during the event period can be combined, but receipts from purchases made at different markets cannot be combined.
To receive a refund, visit the refund location with a card or cash receipt from a purchase made at a participating store. Participating stores will display a refund promotion sticker.
The refund applies broadly to items purchased at participating retail, wholesale, and restaurant businesses within traditional markets, without being limited to specific items such as agricultural, livestock, or fishery products.
A total of 85 refund locations will be set up in 99 traditional markets across 16 districts and counties, and will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You can check the participating markets on the Busan Metropolitan City Government website or the Busan Merchants Association website.
To maintain consumption vitality in traditional markets, the Busan Metropolitan City Government plans to hold another, larger-scale Onnuri Gift Certificate refund event this coming November, coinciding with the consumption promotion period.
