[Financial News] Hyundai Motor Company is expanding its educational reach into Europe by introducing its Future Mobility School, a program designed to nurture mobility talent among future generations, in France. To mark the 140th anniversary of Korea-France diplomatic ties, the company is partnering with a local educational institution and, for the first time overseas, will use Korean-language educational materials to create synergy between K-culture trends and advanced technology education. The strategy is to give local teenagers—potential customers in Europe beyond ASEAN—early exposure to Hyundai Motor Company's leadership in future technologies such as electrification and autonomous driving.
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 8th that it signed the "France Future Mobility School (FMS) Partnership Agreement" with the Korean Education Center in France at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in France in Paris on the 7th (local time). Jeong Sang-myeong, director of the Korean Education Center in France, and Sung Kim, president in charge of strategic planning at Hyundai Motor Group, attended the signing ceremony.
Hyundai Future Mobility School is a global career education program designed to help teenagers experience and understand future technologies and changes in the industrial ecosystem firsthand. Launched in South Korea in 2016, the program expanded to four ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, in 2023. France is the first European country to officially adopt it. By the end of 2025, approximately 110,000 students are expected to have completed the program at around 2,700 schools worldwide.
Hyundai Motor Company plans to develop customized operating measures that reflect France's local educational environment and demand.
In particular, the company plans to capitalize on the strong interest in the Korean language and culture in France by introducing its own Korean-language educational materials to a local overseas school for the first time. It will combine language learning with hands-on training in future mobility to encourage greater voluntary participation among local students.
A Hyundai Motor Company official said, "This agreement is a symbolic starting point that signals the full-scale expansion of Future Mobility School into Europe. We hope it will provide a meaningful opportunity for young people in France to broaden their understanding of advanced technologies and the industrial ecosystem as a whole."
