[Financial News] Viva Republica’s payment gateway (PG) affiliate, Toss Payments, announced on the 8th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with global payment technology company Visa.
The signing ceremony was held on the 7th at Arc Place in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Toss Vice President Kim Kyu-ha and Visa Korea President Kunal Chatterjee.
Through this agreement, the two companies have decided to strengthen their partnership in the domestic and international payment markets based on their respective capabilities and networks.
In particular, focusing on enhancing payment security capabilities to create a safe and convenient payment environment, we plan to pursue joint cooperation for the advancement of payment services in stages.
With this, Toss Payments is now able to combine the payment infrastructure and merchant network built in its domestic PG business with Visa's global payment technology and network. It also plans to continuously identify areas of cooperation that can improve the payment experience for domestic merchants and consumers.
"We plan to strengthen our close partnership through this agreement and create business synergies in various fields," said Kim Kyu-ha, Vice President of Toss. "We will continue to strive to provide safer and better payment experiences for customers and merchants."
