[Financial News] As Go Young-wook, a former member of the group Roo'Ra, has recently been publicly targeting fellow entertainers one after another through social media, writer So Jae-won launched a scathing attack on him, saying that he was "excreting shit-like posts."
On the 7th, So Jae-won criticized him in a post on his Instagram, asking, "How much longer must we watch the shameless Go Young-wook, who committed sex crimes against minors, continue to speak out?"
He continued, "How can someone who did things so horrifying and unspeakable to young girls brazenly criticize anyone? I dare say that among the popular artists currently active in South Korea, there is absolutely no one who has committed acts as cruel as yours. You cannot find on television or in the media anyone who has committed crimes comparable to yours—crimes serious enough for you to condemn them."
He went on to lash out, saying, "What are you so brazen and aggrieved about? What makes you so shameless and unapologetic? How can you live as such a vicious attention seeker when you should be hiding?"
He added, "You excrete shit-like posts almost every day," and said, "You are still inflicting secondary victimization on the injured victims, their families and the public."
So Jae-won said, "There is no devil in this world who sympathizes with or pities the shit you have spewed. Please stop. It was only because the laws created by an overly lenient society were too weak to keep you locked up; the victims and the world have never forgiven you—not even once." He added, "Live quietly for the sake of a normal society, the victims and a better world."
Meanwhile, Go Young-wook, who rose to fame after debuting with the group Roo'Ra in 1994, was sentenced in 2013 to two years and six months in prison, three years of electronic monitoring and five years of public disclosure of his personal information for forcibly molesting and sexually assaulting three minors over approximately two years beginning in July 2010.
After serving two years and six months at the Seoul Southern Detention Center, Anyang Correctional Institution and Seoul Southern Prison, he was released upon completing his sentence in July 2015.
Go Young-wook has recently sparked controversy by repeatedly posting messages on social media that publicly target fellow entertainers by name.
