Hyundai Motor Company Named Official Partner of UEFA Champions League

[Financial News] Hyundai Motor Company will serve as the Official Automotive Partner of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League. The automaker is expected to accelerate its push into Europe's electric vehicle market by placing the IONIQ 3, a compact electric hatchback tailored to local preferences, at the center of its campaign.
According to multiple foreign media reports on the 8th local time, Hyundai Motor Company signed a multi-year partnership agreement with UEFA covering the 2026–2027 through 2030–2031 seasons.
The centerpiece of the partnership's marketing strategy is the IONIQ 3, designed specifically to appeal to European customers. Hyundai Motor Company plans to introduce the IONIQ 3 first among five major new models it will launch in the European market during the 2026–2027 season and promote it intensively on the UCL stage. The strategy is aimed at strengthening the company's position as a global leader in electric vehicles through a mega-sporting event watched by hundreds of millions of football fans worldwide.
José Muñoz, president of Hyundai Motor Company, emphasized, "Football has the powerful ability to bring people together across languages, borders and generations. The UCL will be an ideal platform for showcasing Hyundai Motor Company's outstanding vehicles and advanced features to football fans around the world."
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA's marketing director, also responded, "We are delighted to welcome Hyundai Motor Company as an official partner after its unwavering support for the highest level of football worldwide over many years."
