On the 8th, the Korea Housing Builders Association announced that it had begun operating a PF Information Platform connecting housing developers with financial institutions.
The platform is an online space where housing developers seeking funds and financial institutions can share project information and assess the feasibility of financial transactions. It focuses on improving access to information for member companies with limited experience dealing with financial institutions or difficulty finding lenders to contact.
The platform’s core service is a credit review report prepared by professional PM institutions. After developers enter relevant information, they can obtain a report at a relatively low cost that comprehensively analyzes project feasibility and risk factors, including project profitability, marketability, and repayment plans.
Developers can submit the reports they receive directly to financial institutions registered on the platform. If necessary, they can also ask PM institutions to arrange introductions to financial institutions and provide support for financing-related work overall.
Epoleia and Korea Asset Investment Securities were selected through a public bidding process as the PM institutions responsible for preparing reports and facilitating financial connections. Based on materials provided by developers, the two institutions will prepare credit review reports and offer tailored support, including connecting developers with financial institutions suited to their project conditions when requested.
Seong E. (Aiden) Kim, chairman of the Korea Housing Builders Association, said, "Securing the funds needed for housing projects at the right time is becoming increasingly difficult. We will operate the PF Information Platform effectively to improve our members’ access to financing and help them raise funds, while developing it into a platform joined by more financial institutions in the future."
