Kwaktube Says "My SK hynix Return Is -14%"—He Reveals Investment Losses from a 15 Million Won Seat

[Financial News] Travel creator Kwaktube revealed his losses on an SK hynix investment while experiencing a first-class flight costing approximately 15 million won. He said he had invested a substantial portion of his available funds but was currently recording a negative return.
Kwaktube's YouTube channel released a video on the 7th titled "A Review of the World's Most Expensive First-Class Flight."
Kwaktube said he had been flying frequently because he was filming a long-term travel program. "I thought I really wanted to take a truly good flight at least once," he said, explaining that he booked Etihad Airways' The Residence from Japan to Abu Dhabi. The approximately nine-hour flight cost more than 14.9 million won. "I'm going for the biggest flex of my life. Of course, it's my own money," Kwaktube said.
Even after taking his seat in the premium cabin, Kwaktube continued calculating the cost. "It's 15 million won for 10 hours," he said. Even excluding the various services, "That means it costs 1 million won an hour just to take this flight. This is a bit much," he added.
While discussing the flight cost, Kwaktube also brought up his stock investments. "I put almost all my stock money into SK hynix. I spent a lot, seriously," he said. "I put nearly all the money I had into it. I've kept averaging down." He disclosed that his return at the time was "minus 14%."
Even after mentioning his losses, Kwaktube indicated that he was considering buying more. Comparing the investment with the 15 million won flight, he said, "If it were me, I'd average down. I wouldn't take the flight," adding, "If I put in just a little more here, I'm almost there. Averaging down—on SK hynix."
The 15 million won price continued to weigh on his mind during the flight. The Residence included a separate bedroom, private bathroom, and shower, but when Kwaktube became sleepy, he said, "I can't sleep. I have to stay awake and endure this." He then resisted sleep, saying, "Every time I doze off, that's another 1 million won lost."
Although there was a bedroom, Kwaktube could not properly rest. After watching *Mamma Mia!*, playing games, and taking a shower, he said, "I don't want to keep talking about money either, but that amount keeps coming to mind, so I feel like I can't relax." He added, "I couldn't sleep because I felt pressured to keep doing something."
The premium-cabin experience ended after he arrived in Abu Dhabi. Kwaktube then had to fly economy class to Istanbul and was told that he could not use the transit lounge with his The Residence ticket.
Saying it would be difficult to spend any additional money, Kwaktube remarked, "I guess I'll have to sleep rough somewhere before I go." In the end, he said, "I've returned to my normal routine," and traveled to Istanbul in economy class for approximately four hours and 40 minutes.
