On the 7th, the Korea Financial Talent Development Institute announced that it provides customized training based on each financial institution’s business sector, job functions, and target trainees. The programs cover financial ethics certification, financial consumer protection, anti-money laundering, financial fraud prevention—including voice phishing and investment fraud—internal controls, integrity and anti-corruption, digital artificial intelligence (AI) finance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) finance, and unfair-trading prevention.
As financial fraud methods become increasingly sophisticated and demands for financial consumer protection and internal controls rise, strengthening financial institutions’ employees’ ethical awareness and ability to prevent financial incidents has become increasingly important.
The Korea Financial Talent Development Institute designed its courses around actual financial cases and workplace situations, moving beyond simply conveying legal and regulatory requirements. The programs focus on enabling employees to apply what they learn immediately in the workplace.
The training is offered in formats suited to each financial institution’s educational environment, including in-person classes, remote instruction, online content, and integration into internal training systems. Programs can also be tailored to specific roles, including new employees, sales staff, managers, compliance officers, and consumer protection personnel.
A representative of the Korea Financial Talent Development Institute said, "The key to training at financial institutions is not simply completing a course. It is using education as the foundation for leadership to prevent financial incidents and bring about behavioral changes among employees." The representative added, "Through customized training that reflects the characteristics and risks of each financial institution, we will contribute to strengthening their practical capabilities in financial ethics and consumer protection."
Meanwhile, the Korea Financial Talent Development Institute has been running the “Aha! Money Club” project since last month. The project helps young adults entering the workforce review their financial lives and provides expert training and mentoring.
