[Financial News] DeSimone, the premium probiotic brand of global healthcare company Hecto Healthcare, is entering the pet probiotic business.
Hecto Healthcare announced on the 7th that it has launched DeSimone Pet Probiotics for dogs and cats, expanding the brand into the pet health management market.
DeSimone Pet Probiotics uses DeSimone’s accumulated probiotic technology. It contains the proprietary De Simone Formulation, a blend of eight strains, with 30 billion CFU per sachet.
The De Simone Formulation has accumulated relevant data through clinical studies involving dogs. In particular, the 2026 official consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of canine chronic inflammatory enteropathy (CIE) issued by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) presented the De Simone Formulation as a probiotic containing eight specific strains that may be considered when dietary therapy is ineffective.
A total of 133 companion animals participated in the palatability evaluation. Based on the results, the product was designed with a chicken flavor so that both dogs and cats could consume it comfortably.
Through this initiative, Hecto Healthcare is expanding DeSimone’s probiotic business, which has primarily focused on people, into the pet health management sector. The company also plans to hold a promotion on its official website to mark the market launch of DeSimone Pet Probiotics.
Kim Seok-jin, CEO of Hecto Healthcare, said, "We are introducing DeSimone Pet Probiotics so that, based on the probiotic research and technological expertise we have accumulated over many years, we can also support pets in maintaining healthy daily lives." He added, "By taking into account both the expertise of the De Simone Formulation and the palatability of dogs and cats, we will develop it into a brand that helps pet owners consistently manage their pets’ health."
