[Financial News] Samlip is increasing the size of its mutual-growth fund to strengthen cooperation with small and medium-sized partner companies.
According to industry sources on the 7th, Samlip will increase the mutual-growth fund it operates with Shinhan Bank to support the shared growth of partner companies by KRW 7 billion, expanding it to KRW 35 billion.
Samlip has continued to expand the mutual-growth fund under its “Mutual Growth Agreement for Partner Companies” with Shinhan Bank. The fund began with KRW 20 billion in 2016 and grew in stages to KRW 28 billion in 2024 and KRW 35 billion this year, strengthening the support system for shared growth.
Under the agreement, loan products for partner companies will be operated using interest income from time deposits placed by Samlip with Shinhan Bank. As a result, Samlip’s partner companies will receive preferential interest rates approximately 1.4 percentage points lower than prevailing market rates.
A Samlip official said, “The expansion of the mutual-growth fund is part of our sustainable management (ESG) strategy to promote substantive shared growth with our partner companies,” adding, “As a company leading the bakery market, we will continue to do our utmost to support partner companies facing difficulties and fulfill our social responsibilities.”
