Korean Meteorological Administration Director Lee Mi-seon inspects operations of Yebongsan weather radar station

[Financial News] Korean Meteorological Administration Director Lee Mi-seon visited the Yebongsan Weather Radar Observation Station in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, on the 7th to inspect the operation status of the weather radar and on-site facilities.
Director Lee urged the stable operation of the radar and infrastructure and called for special attention to the safety management of personnel, considering that the observation station is located on the mountaintop.
Director Lee said, "We will do our best to strengthen the hazardous weather monitoring system and provide precise weather information based on the weather radar observation network, which has become denser through integrated operation."
The Yebongsan weather radar station is one of the seven radar observation stations transferred from the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment to the Korean Meteorological Administration on March 24 following the integrated operation of weather and rainfall radars.
