Ildong Bioscience Participates in 'Vitafoods Asia'... Promoting Functional Probiotics

[Financial News] Ildong Bioscience, a health functional food affiliate of Ildong Pharmaceutical Group, participated in the Asia Healthcare Food Expo to promote its functional probiotic materials and R&D capabilities and set out to expand its global business.
Ildong Bioscience announced on the 7th that it participated in 'Vitafoods Asia 2026,' held in Bangkok, Thailand from the 2nd to the 4th. Vitafoods Asia is an exhibition attended by major healthcare food and ingredient-related companies from the Asia-Pacific region.
Ildong Bioscience introduced functional materials at the event, including the sleep-related spore-forming lactic acid bacterium 'Bacillus coagulans IDCC 1201 (SPORABLE)' and the body fat-related probiotic 'Bifidobacterium lactis IDCC 4301 (B. lactis Fit)'.
It also showcased patented quadruple-coating technology that enhances the stability of probiotic raw materials, as well as an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) solution that supports everything from raw material development to finished product production.
At a seminar hosted by the Korea Health Functional Food Association, research achievements and human clinical trial results regarding the improvement of sleep quality with Bacillus coagulans IDCC 1201 were presented.
An official from Ildong Bioscience stated, "We received such a positive response that our prepared samples sold out early, and we discussed business partnerships with several overseas companies regarding functional strains, including sleep-related probiotics." The official added, "We plan to expand our global business by developing functional materials tailored to local market demands and accumulating scientific evidence and data."
Meanwhile, Ildong Bioscience is expanding its market to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, as well as to the United States and Europe. It is also scheduled to participate in 'Fi Asia Indonesia,' a food and ingredients exhibition to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from the 16th to the 18th.
