Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. Signs Supply Agreement for 'HiCardi' in Six Asia-Pacific Countries

[Financial News] Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. is expanding its entry into the Asia-Pacific market with its wearable patient monitoring platform, 'HiCardi.'
Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. announced on the 7th that it has signed a supply contract for HiCardi in six countries with the Asia-Pacific subsidiary of global medical device company Schiller AG.
Under this agreement, Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. will supply HiCardi+ and HiCardi+ H100 to Schiller AP. Schiller AP will be responsible for the distribution and sales of the products in six countries, including Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Australia, and Singapore.
Schiller AP acts as a distributor utilizing local medical device distribution partners in each country. Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. plans to pursue regulatory approvals and market entry in each country by leveraging its local distribution networks and sales capabilities.
HiCardi is a wearable patient monitoring system developed by the medical device company MEZOO and sold by Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. When a patient wears a patch-type device, vital signs such as electrocardiogram, heart rate, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and oxygen saturation can be checked in real time. Its key feature is the ability to remotely monitor the condition of multiple patients.
Through this contract, Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. has secured a distribution base to expand its HiCardi business beyond the domestic market to the Asia-Pacific region. Currently in Korea, HiCardi has been introduced to more than 800 hospitals, including 28 tertiary hospitals and 86 general hospitals.
The company is also expanding its overseas business. Last year, it signed an exclusive sales agreement with Brazil's CARDIO WEB and is pursuing entry into the Latin American market.
"Through this agreement, we have laid the foundation to leverage Schiller AG's global medical device business experience and Asia-Pacific distribution network," said a Dong-A ST Co., Ltd. official. "We will expand HiCardi's global business by proceeding with country-specific regulatory approvals and market entry without any setbacks."
