[Financial News] IPARK HYUNDAI DEVELOPMENT COMPANY has selected the outstanding technologies submitted to its 2026 IPARK Technology Proposal Contest, which was organized to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises and identify technologies that can lead the future construction industry.
According to IPARK HYUNDAI DEVELOPMENT COMPANY on the 7th, the company held the awards ceremony at PONY CHUNG Hall on the 4th.
Now in its sixth year, the IPARK Technology Proposal Contest identifies outstanding technologies that can be applied to construction sites in cooperation with partner companies. The contest has expanded beyond new technologies and construction methods to include smart construction fields such as AI, big data, IoT and BIM.
This year's contest was held under the theme "Construction, Reimagined" and covered smart construction technologies, including new technologies and construction methods, AI, big data, IT platforms, drones, IoT, sensors and BIM, as well as digital transformation and AI transformation. A total of 114 technology proposals were submitted. Following document screening and final presentations, four companies were selected: one Grand Prize winner, one Excellence Award winner and two Merit Award winners.
Semper M won the Grand Prize. The company proposed an MPSystem-based smart parking infrastructure technology that optimizes underground spaces for high-density urban multi-family housing and building projects.
Magenta Robotics received the Excellence Award for presenting Physical AI-based autonomous painting robot technology and demonstrating the potential for AI-driven automation at construction sites. The Merit Awards went to Mijin Precision for its G/F (gang form) fall-prevention system and J Paper for its technology to prevent and repair cracks and repair joints using wet paper tape.
The selected companies will receive plaques and funding to pursue proof-of-concept (PoC) projects under a performance-sharing system involving joint technology development. Support includes up to 50 million won for the Grand Prize winner. The selected technologies will be applied at actual sites following the planning of on-site PoCs.
An IPARK HYUNDAI DEVELOPMENT COMPANY official said, "We will actively support the selected companies so they can validate their technologies at actual sites and generate results," adding, "We will continue to expand technological cooperation with partner companies based on mutually beneficial growth."
