[Financial News] Busan Bank said on the 7th that it will deploy foreign customer support staff at major branches in Busan to make it easier for foreign customers to access financial services.
The foreign customer support staff will be assigned to a total of 14 branches, including those near universities in Busan.
Comprising international students of various nationalities, the support staff will assist foreign customers with communication during financial procedures, such as opening accounts, and provide guidance on using financial products and services.
The initiative is expected to make branch visits more convenient for foreign customers, as on-site assistance will be available in English and other languages tailored to the characteristics of each branch.
The support staff will operate according to each branch’s schedule through the end of December.
In addition, Busan Bank plans to provide on-site financial support for foreign customers by operating mobile banking branches at major universities in Busan for new international students who need to open domestic bank accounts and obtain debit cards for the new academic year.
