Run 10km to help children... UNICEF Korea and KakaoBank Corp host charity marathon

[Financial News] A 10km charity marathon to help children suffering from the climate crisis will be held in Yeouido, Seoul, in November. The entire participation fee will be used to support children, and the use of disposable items will be reduced at the event venue through the use of reusable cups.
According to UNICEF Korea on the 7th, 'Save Race 2026,' co-hosted with KakaoBank Corp, will be held in the Yeouido Park area on November 7. This is the third event, and the recruitment limit has been increased to 7,000 people.
The course is a single 10km section. It starts at the Culture Plaza in Yeouido Park, crosses Seogang Bridge, and turns around at the Gwangheungchang Station intersection.
Applications will be accepted from 10 a.m. on the 7th until 5 p.m. on the 18th through the event page in the KakaoBank Corp app. Participants will be selected by lottery, and winners can check the results on the event's official website and the KakaoBank Corp app on the 30th.
The participation fee is 50,000 won per person, and the entire amount will be donated to UNICEF Korea in the participants' names. It will be used to support the survival, health, and safety of children in the East Asia-Pacific region threatened by droughts, floods, and typhoons, as well as to strengthen their capacity to respond to the climate crisis.
If all 7,000 available spots are filled, 350 million won will be raised solely from participation fees. It is a structure in which individual citizens' participation in the run leads to funding to support children affected by the climate crisis.
Participants will receive six types of souvenirs, including a T-shirt made from recycled PET-bottle yarn. Reusable-cup water stations will be set up at the venue, and a climate crisis quiz will also be held.
Jo Jae-seong, head of the Corporate Sponsorship Office at UNICEF Korea, said, "The climate crisis is an issue that threatens children's health, safety, and future," adding, "I hope many people will run together and deliver hope to children struggling because of the climate crisis."
