Asan Foundation Extends $200,000 in Aid to Nepal Flood Victims

[Financial News] The Asan Foundation said on the 7th that it had donated $200,000 through the Korean Red Cross to support flood victims in Nepal, who suffered extensive damage from massive flooding.
The donation will be used for emergency relief and the restoration of daily life for affected residents, including food, essential supplies and medical assistance.
The Asan Foundation has provided relief donations whenever large-scale disasters have occurred overseas. In 2023, it donated $400,000 through the Korean Red Cross to support recovery efforts following the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. It also supported Ukrainian refugees and ethnic Koreans in 2022, tsunami recovery efforts in Indonesia in 2018, earthquake recovery efforts in Nepal in 2015, typhoon recovery efforts in the Philippines in 2013, flood recovery efforts in Pakistan in 2010, and tsunami recovery efforts in Sri Lanka in 2006. The foundation’s overseas relief contributions have totaled approximately 2.1 billion won to date.
The foundation has also continued to support recovery efforts following domestic disasters and provide assistance to victims. From 2022 through 2025, it provided 800 million won in relief for victims of wildfires and flood damage in Gangwon State and North Gyeongsang Province. In 2020, it donated 1 billion won to support efforts to overcome COVID-19, and in 2019, it provided 100 million won to help victims of wildfires in Gangwon State.
