[Financial News] Shinhan Bank partners with Seocho District and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to support corporate growth.
Shinhan Bank announced that it has signed a comprehensive business agreement with Seocho District, Seoul, and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation for cooperation in finance, guarantees, and growth support for companies moving into or being attracted to SeochoAICT.
This agreement was established to support the growth of companies moving into or being attracted to SeochoAICT, as well as companies in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (ICT), and to revitalize the related industrial ecosystem within the region.
'SeochoAICT' is an integrated brand encompassing the 'Yangjae AI Future Convergence Innovation Special Zone,' designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in November 2024, and the 'Yangjae-Gaepo ICT Specific Development Promotion District,' designated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in February of this year. Currently, approximately 500 companies are located in the area, and Seocho District aims to attract 1,000 companies in the future by strengthening industrial infrastructure, fostering unicorn companies through investment activation, and implementing specialized projects tailored to companies.
Under the agreement, Seocho District identifies and recommends companies moving into or being attracted to SeochoAICT, as well as AI and ICT companies in need of support, and is responsible for administrative support such as identifying corporate needs and providing business guidance. The Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation reviews the possibility of credit guarantee counseling and guarantee support for the recommended companies and links them with corporate management support programs and related systems.
Shinhan Bank provides financial consulting services, including lending, foreign exchange, and fund management, to recommended companies and reviews financial support tailored to their growth stages. In addition, it offers specialized consulting from headquarters on key corporate management issues such as finance, funding, business strategy, investment attraction, IR, digital, and ESG. By leveraging related programs with Shinhan Financial Group Co., Ltd. affiliates, such as Shinhan Venture Investment, it also connects non-financial support, including investment review, open innovation, acceleration, and networking.
The three organizations will also jointly promote corporate support programs, including information sessions, consultations, meetings, investor relations (IR), and training. They also plan to join forces to identify policy needs, share information, and build cooperative networks.
A Shinhan Bank official stated, "We will continuously support the growth of promising companies through financial assistance, professional consulting, and investment linkages tailored to their growth stages."
