BLUE ELEPHANT officially opened its first U.S. flagship store on August 13 at North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills, California. The approximately 650-square-meter (about 200 pyeong) store marks the brand's direct entry into the North American market following Japan and is expected to serve as a key hub for understanding local consumers' tastes and consumption patterns and increasing brand awareness in the United States.
North Beverly Drive, where the store is located, is in the Golden Triangle, Beverly Hills' core commercial district, which is densely populated with global luxury and contemporary fashion brands and renowned restaurants. With a steady influx of local consumers and international visitors, it is considered an optimal location for establishing the brand's positioning.
The CBRE Korea Retail Team supported BLUE ELEPHANT's North American expansion strategy by leveraging its global network and data-driven commercial district analysis capabilities. The team conducted a multifaceted review of candidate locations, including their characteristics, accessibility, and potential for brand exposure, and led consultations and negotiations on key contract terms tailored to local leasing practices.
Having previously advised OLIVE YOUNG on its entry into Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, CBRE Korea is further solidifying its position as a strategic partner helping major domestic retail brands establish themselves in key U.S. commercial districts by supporting BLUE ELEPHANT's Beverly Hills flagship store opening.
"To enter key overseas commercial districts, it is necessary to select locations that align with a brand's strategy, earn landlords' trust, and take a professional approach to local lease structures," said Ryan Kim, Managing Director of Retail at CBRE Korea. "Based on our global network and data-driven commercial district analysis capabilities, we will continue to strengthen our role as a strategic partner supporting the overseas expansion and mid- to long-term growth of domestic retail brands."
