Seocho District announced on the 7th that it held a meeting with apartment remodeling project associations in the Jamwon and Banpo areas at the Jamwon-dong Community Service Center on the 4th. Seocho District Mayor Jeon Seong-su and officials from eight associations promoting remodeling in the region, including Jamwon Hanshin Royal, Jamwon Family, and Banpo Prugio, attended to share on-site difficulties and seek solutions.
The 'Visiting Rapid Reconstruction Support Team' is a field-oriented support system in which the district mayor personally visits project sites to communicate. Previously, the focus was primarily on reconstruction projects to address permit delays and conflicts, but starting with this meeting, the scope has been expanded to include remodeling sites.
The event began with a practical lecture on Seoul-style apartment remodeling and related laws. Unlike reconstruction, remodeling improves space by utilizing existing structures, making review tasks for each complex—such as vertical and horizontal expansion, safety inspections, and the calculation of contribution fees—particularly complex. Following this, current issues of each association were reviewed through a Q&A session involving an expert support team in urban planning, architecture, and professional management; the district government decided to minimize factors causing project delays after review by the relevant departments.
Seocho District Mayor Jeon Seong-su emphasized, "I hope this meeting served as a practical communication channel to resolve institutional and technical difficulties in remodeling projects together on-site," adding, "We will continue to spare no support to ensure that all urban renewal projects, including remodeling, are carried out safely and swiftly."
