Jeju Air to Operate Temporary Flights from Daegu to Guilin

Jeju Air will resume service on the Incheon–Guilin route from late September and operate temporary flights on the Daegu–Guilin route.
According to Jeju Air, service on the Incheon–Guilin route will resume on Sept. 23, operating four times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Daegu–Guilin route will operate temporary flights twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, starting Sept. 24.
Both routes are confirmed to operate through Oct. 24, when the summer schedule ends. Approval procedures are also underway for flights in November.
A Jeju Air official said, "Considering seasonal demand during Chuseok and the October holidays, we will operate flights to and from Guilin from Incheon and Daegu, following Busan." The official added, "We will operate the routes flexibly by actively reflecting customers' travel demand and market conditions."
The Incheon–Guilin flight departs Incheon International Airport at 10:20 p.m. local time and arrives at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport at 1:20 a.m. the following day. The return flight departs Guilin at 2:20 a.m. and arrives in Incheon at 7:05 a.m.
The Daegu–Guilin route will operate from Sept. 24, departing Daegu International Airport at 8 p.m. and arriving at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport at 10:45 p.m. The return flight departs Guilin at 12:30 a.m. and arrives in Daegu at 5:05 a.m.
Guilin, whose name means "forest of sweet osmanthus," is one of China's leading destinations for scenic mountain-and-water tourism. It is famous for its distinctive karst landscapes and the spectacular scenery along the Li River.
In particular, the period from late September through November is considered an ideal time to visit, as travelers can enjoy relatively cool weather and beautiful autumn scenery.
October is a period of strong demand for travel to China as holidays in South Korea and China overlap. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Airportal system, the total number of passengers on China routes last October was 1,538,109, the third-highest annual figure after the peak summer months of July and August.
