[Financial News] Daol Investment & Securities is joining forces with global online brokerage Interactive Brokers (IBKR) to expand its global investment platform.
According to the financial investment industry on the 7th, Daol Investment & Securities recently launched the global investment platform 'DAOL Fi PRO' with IBKR.
The platform goes beyond simply brokering overseas stocks. It integrates a trading environment that connects Korean investors with global markets and overseas investors with the Korean market.
The entire trading process—from customer authentication, single sign-on (SSO), and electronic signatures to order execution, settlement, fund management, and ledger management—has been integrated into a single service.
The platform establishes global trading infrastructure optimized for institutions and professional traders, while also making it easy for individual investors to use.
IBKR Smart Routing, which is applied to 'DAOL Fi PRO,' helps reduce customers' costs by finding the best execution prices. It compares quotes and liquidity across multiple exchanges and alternative trading systems (ATSs) in real time to identify the optimal route. When market conditions change, it splits orders or adjusts their routes.
The platform also offers a wider range of order types. With eight types now available, investors can fine-tune order prices and execution timing according to market conditions and investment strategies. The company plans to expand the number to at least 26 in the future.
Daol Investment & Securities plans to expand the service to the more than 170 global markets covered by IBKR and gradually broaden its financial product offerings, including derivatives. It also plans to develop specific measures with IBKR to expand inbound services.
Earlier, IBKR formed a delegation to visit Korea, including Senior Vice President Stacy Millers, and visited Daol Investment & Securities for three days starting on the 3rd to discuss follow-up cooperation.
Lee Byung-chul, chairman of Daol Financial Group, said, "This launch is not the completion of our cooperation but a new beginning. We look forward to further developing DAOL Fi PRO, expanding our cooperation into new products and markets, and growing together."
Meanwhile, Interactive Brokers is a global electronic brokerage that has focused on electronic trading technology and automation since its founding in 1977. It was listed on Nasdaq in 2007 and has a market capitalization of approximately 230 trillion won. The company is known to operate the largest electronic trading platform in the United States by average daily revenue trades.
