[Financial News] Bitcoin has entered a wait-and-see phase ahead of a vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, a U.S. bill aimed at regulating the virtual asset market.
According to CoinMarketCap, a global virtual asset information platform, Bitcoin was trading around $79,000 as of 10:15 a.m. on the 7th, down 0.03% from the previous day based on a 24-hour comparison. Bitcoin has risen 3.01% over the past week.
Bitcoin was trading around 108 million won in the Korean won market. According to Cryprice, a global platform that compares virtual asset market conditions, the Korean premium stood at 1.48%.
The market is focused on the outcome of the U.S. Senate vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. The Senate is scheduled to hold a vote related to the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act on the 15th local time. The bill has remained stalled in the Senate for more than a year since passing the U.S. House of Representatives in July last year. Expectations have also grown after French Hill, a Republican lawmaker, recently said, "Discussions have reached a certain level."
CoinMarketCap’s Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 75 on the day, indicating "greed." The index ranges from 0 to 100: readings closer to 0 indicate "extreme fear," while those closer to 100 indicate "extreme greed."
At the same time, Ethereum was trading around $2,506, up 0.39% from the previous day. Ripple (XRP) was trading around $1.41, down 0.47%.
