[Financial News] Everland is launching its fall festival with immersive horror content that allows visitors to take part directly in the story and missions.
Everland, the resort division of Samsung C&T, announced on the 7th that it will operate ‘Blood City Zero: Hell Gate,’ the signature horror-themed zone of its fall festival, from the 12th through November 22.
This year’s BLOOD CITY has strengthened its cinematic horror concept through a collaboration with director Lee Seok-hoon, who directed films including ‘The Pirates’ and ‘Confidential Assignment 2: International.’ It has also expanded immersive content in which visitors directly participate in the story and missions.
The centerpiece is a large-scale outdoor horror immersive live performance. The entire BLOOD CITY area will serve as the stage, featuring interactions between zombies and visitors, participatory missions, and dance performances.
The performance is based on a scenario in which visitors become members of ‘White Z,’ a unit fighting against a zombie army. It unfolds across five themed zones: Hell Gate, the Out-of-Control Laboratory, the Circus of Madness, the Blood-Red Schoolyard, and the Platform of Destruction. Visitors can freely move among the themed zones of their choice, complete missions, and participate in the performance.
Visitors who complete all the missions will also receive priority boarding benefits for Monimo Rush. The performance will run daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Everland visitors can participate at no additional cost.
In addition, 38 types of horror merchandise and themed food will be introduced. At the Zombie Costume Room and Makeup Salon, visitors can also experience transforming themselves into zombies.
Content for families will also be available. At ‘Wild Savanna Expedition,’ which opens on the 12th, visitors can walk through Lost Valley and observe 15 species of animals, including giraffes, elephants, and rhinoceroses, up close.
The ‘Smiley Pumpkin Parade’ will also take place every day during the festival. Posies Garden, a garden within Everland, will be decorated as a themed garden using autumn flowers and plants.
