Discarded Resources Reborn as Artworks: Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch Holds Special Junk-Art Exhibition

[Financial News] Industrial waste from Ulsan is being reborn as artworks on the rooftop of a department store in downtown Busan.
Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch announced on the 7th that it will hold a special exhibition of junk-art sculptures at its rooftop park through February 21 next year.
The exhibition was organized in collaboration with Fe01 Upcycled Complex Cultural Space in Ulsan. Visitors can see 20 junk-art pieces throughout the rooftop park, created by adding artistic imagination to discarded metal resources, including parts from scrapped cars and motorcycles.
The exhibition space features works on various themes designed to stimulate children's imaginations. Sculptures depicting dinosaurs and other animals, as well as fairy-tale characters and figures inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, blend with the natural scenery of the rooftop park.
Photo spots have also been set up throughout the exhibition area so visitors can view the works up close and take commemorative photos.
The exhibition is open during the department store's business hours, and visitors can look around freely without paying an admission fee.
Cho Gyu-jang, manager of Lotte Department Store Gwangbok Branch, said, "We organized this exhibition so that children can naturally experience the value of resource recycling and art while viewing and taking photos of the inventive and entertaining sculptures."
