[Financial News] SK Eco Plant is hosting the '2026 ConTech Meetup Day' to discover innovative technologies and solutions in its key business sectors. This event is an open technology innovation contest in which SK Eco Plant identifies startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies possessing innovative technologies.
According to SK Eco Plant on the 7th, ConTech Meetup Day, which first started in 2020, is marking its 7th year this year.
17 public, research, and investment institutions, including the Korea Research and Development Special Zone Foundation, Hoseo University, Korea Electronics Technology Institute, SK Securities, Synergy IB Investment, Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center, and Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center, are listed as co-hosts.
This year's competition covers 22 demand technologies applicable to SK Eco-Plant businesses and sites. These include artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, robotics and automation, and resource recycling and safety.
In the AI data center sector, we are seeking technologies for power, cooling, design, and operational efficiency. In addition, we plan to broadly identify related technologies and solutions, including drawing analysis and design review, appropriate unit price analysis, and cost forecasting.
Startups and small and medium-sized enterprises possessing innovative technologies and solutions are eligible to participate in the contest. Applications can be submitted via the SK EcoPlant website from September 7 to 30.
SK Eco Plant will conduct document reviews and presentation evaluations of the submitted technologies. It plans to make the final selection of award winners after comprehensively reviewing factors such as technological innovation and the potential for joint technology development.
The winning companies will pursue joint technology development with SK Eco Plant. Support for technology development funding and investment attraction will also be provided in conjunction with co-organizing institutions, including public, research, academic, and investment organizations. Kim Young-sik, President of SK Eco Plant, stated, "We will strengthen our future technological competitiveness through open innovation with various companies and institutions."
