[Financial News] The Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) announced on the 7th that it will recruit review committee members for aerospace research facilities and equipment from September 8 to October 8 to strengthen the fairness and expertise of the review process for introducing research facilities and equipment needed for aerospace R&D projects.
The recruitment aims to secure external experts with specialized knowledge of aerospace equipment and enhance the expertise and objectivity of reviews on the introduction of research facilities and equipment. KASA plans to carefully assess the necessity and appropriateness of equipment through reviews by committee members with expertise in research facilities and equipment. The review will cover general research facilities and equipment costing at least 30 million won but less than 100 million won, as well as security research facilities and equipment costing at least 30 million won that require a high level of security for national security reasons. The agency also aims to promote efficient equipment use by preventing unnecessary equipment construction.
The recruitment covers eight fields under the national standard classification system for research facilities and equipment, including optical and electronic imaging equipment, compound pretreatment and analysis equipment, machining and testing equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, data-processing equipment, and physical measurement equipment. For fields that are difficult to classify, KASA plans to recruit experts with experience in equipment operation and relevant expertise.
On September 1, KASA established and announced the Guidelines for the Construction and Management of National R&D Facilities and Equipment under KASA. The guidelines will be applied beginning with the review committee formed through this recruitment.
Park Hwon, head of the Mission Support Division, said, “Through this recruitment of equipment review committee members, we will enhance the reliability of the construction and operation of research facilities and equipment. We will also strengthen a fair and professional review system so that equipment whose necessity and usability have been verified can be introduced appropriately.”
Detailed information about the recruitment of review committee members is available on KASA’s official website. Applicants must register through the KASA Business Information Management System and then submit the relevant documents by email.
