Regarding Rep. Han Dong-hoon's allegation that a decision not to indict was made due to external pressure from political circles in the past, Kim countered, "It was the Yoon Suk Yeol administration at the time, with Minister Park Sung-jae and Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung," adding, "How could I, merely a first-term lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, have exerted pressure on the prosecution to result in a decision not to indict?"
He added, "Rep. Han Dong-hoon must appear as a witness at the hearing this time and take responsibility for what he said," and continued, "I hope he will definitely attend the hearing and prove the external pressure. I will also request that the prosecutors who made the related decisions be called as witnesses."
