KIND Connects Domestic Companies with Smart City Projects in Three Countries

[Financial News] Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) is exploring ways to introduce smart city plans being pursued in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Poland to domestic companies and connect them to follow-up projects such as demonstration, development, and investment.
KIND announced on the 7th that it will participate in the World Smart City Expo (WSCE), which will be held at Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) from the 9th to the 11th, and will conduct training for partner countries, operate promotional and exhibition booths, and hold performance reports and corporate meetings.
Approximately 20 government and city officials from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Poland, partner countries for the 2026 K-City Network planning-type project, will participate in the invitational training. They will examine Korea's smart city policies, technologies, and urban development experiences, and engage in practical consultations on specific projects as well as exchanges with domestic institutions and companies.
The training program will examine technologies and solutions in the fields of urban development, transportation, and integrated control. Based on this, plans are in place to refine country-specific plans currently being established and identify additional cooperation projects.
During the event, KIND and the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA) will jointly operate the 'K-City Network Global Cooperation Program Promotion and Exhibition Booth.' The booth will provide information on the project overview, implementation status, key achievements, and participation procedures.
The deliverables of KIND's planning-type projects and smart city solutions from domestic companies participating in the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement's overseas demonstration-type projects will also be exhibited. Technologies such as traffic analysis, signal control, incident detection, water management, and disaster response will be introduced, and consultations on project participation will be conducted for domestic and international companies and institutions.
The '2026 K-City Network Global Smart City Partnership Forum' will be held on the 10th. Under the subtitle 'K-City Meets Global Business Opportunities,' this forum will unveil the interim results and key development plans for three projects: Alatau Smart City in Kazakhstan, Aero City behind the new Tashkent Airport in Uzbekistan, and Smart City Lublin in Poland.
The subsequent business meeting will be attended by officials from partner countries, project implementing agencies, and interested domestic companies to discuss potential future project participation, investment, and cooperation.
