LINE WORKS Breaks Into Another Global Semiconductor Hub, Entering Taiwan’s Public-Sector Market

[Financial News] LINE WORKS, NAVER Cloud’s collaboration platform, is entering Taiwan’s public-sector market. The company aims to accelerate its expansion into the global public-sector software-as-a-service (SaaS) market by leveraging its proven user convenience and AI capabilities specialized for public administration.
According to industry sources on the 7th, LINE WORKS has been adopted as the official collaboration tool of Hsinchu City, Taiwan. This marks LINE WORKS’ first large-scale partnership with a Taiwanese administrative agency. Following Japan, NAVER Cloud has now entered Taiwan’s public-sector market.
Hsinchu City is a key science and technology hub, home to Taiwan’s largest semiconductor and information technology (IT) industrial complex, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC). The city decided to introduce LINE WORKS on a large scale as one of its key initiatives to build a smart city and digitally transform public administration through AI.
The two sides also plan to jointly conduct research and pilot projects on administrative applications based on AI and digital technologies. Through continued research and field validation, they aim to improve administrative efficiency and the quality of services for citizens.
The partnership is expected to further accelerate LINE WORKS’ expansion in Taiwan. Within approximately 10 months of its official entry into Taiwan, LINE WORKS has secured more than 150 companies and institutions and over 10,000 users. NAVER Cloud plans to actively expand the service to other local governments and public institutions in Taiwan, drawing on its technological expertise from maintaining the No. 1 market share in Japan’s business collaboration tool market for eight consecutive years since 2017, as well as the Hsinchu City case.
