[Financial News] Angel-in-us is seeking to expand its engagement with consumers through a pop-up store featuring the popular character Ppang-gomi.
According to industry sources on the 7th, Angel-in-us, a coffee franchise operated by LOTTE GRS, is running a pop-up store in collaboration with the popular character intellectual property (IP) Ppang-gomi.
The collaboration was launched as part of a project for using intellectual property from small and midsize content companies and promoting mutual growth, which was established with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) in July.
The pop-up location is designed as a bakery café where Ppang-gomi, who loves every kind of bread in the world, and Angel Ppang-gomi work. Large Ppang-gomi dolls and photo zones have been placed throughout the store to create the visual delight of stepping into a fairytale bakery.
The store will also introduce specialty menu items that visualize Ppang-gomi’s degree of doneness. They include two dessert lattes topped with sweet, smooth cream and savory crumble—Well-Baked Ppang-gomi Butterscotch Latte and Burnt Ppang-gomi Choco Crumble Latte—as well as two cream-filled bakery items, Fermenting Ppang-gomi and Well-Baked Ppang-gomi. The two bakery items will be sold in limited quantities at each location.
The pop-up will operate in relay format at the Angel-in-us Seokchon Lake DI branch through the 16th, followed by the Angel-in-us Jamsil Lotte World Mall B1 branch from the 17th through the 30th.
A LOTTE GRS official said, "This collaboration was planned to expand public access to competitive domestic character IPs from small and midsize companies through Angel-in-us’s distribution platform and to create mutual-growth synergies. We hope you will be sure to experience the adorable Ppang-gomi beverages, bakery items and merchandise available only during the collaboration period."
