[Financial News] Genesis BBQ Group is accelerating its push into Central America by opening a new store in Monterrey, a key industrial and economic hub in northern Mexico, just over a month after entering the Mexican market.
According to Genesis BBQ Group on the 7th, the company opened its second location in Mexico, the BBQ Cumbres location, in Monterrey, Nuevo León state. The opening follows the launch of its first store in Mexico City last month, making it the company's second location in Mexico.
Monterrey is a major industrial and economic center in northern Mexico, with a metropolitan population of more than 5 million. The BBQ Cumbres location is situated in Sicara Distrito Urbano, a mixed-use complex in Cumbres, a major residential and lifestyle district in western Monterrey. The complex combines residential, commercial and office facilities, allowing the store to serve nearby residents as well as office workers and customers seeking shopping and dining options. The store covers 184.74 square meters (approximately 60 pyeong) and has 95 seats in total, including 48 indoor seats and 47 terrace seats.
The menu was designed to allow local consumers to experience a variety of Korean foods, centered on chicken dishes. In addition to signature items such as Golden Fried Chicken, Secret Sauce Chicken, Hot Spicy Chicken and Soy Garlic Chicken, the store offers a diverse selection of dishes, including tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice and cheese balls, along with beverages such as slushies.
A Genesis BBQ Group official said, "Following our first store in Mexico City, we have expanded to Monterrey, a key economic city in the north, within just one month, rapidly broadening our points of contact with the local market. We will continue strengthening our competitiveness by offering consumers BBQ's distinctive Korean-style chicken and dishes tailored to the characteristics of each city and commercial district."
