United States Department of Defense (DoD) launches investigation into accidental bombing of Iranian wedding venue

[Financial News] The Washington Post reported on the 6th (local time) that the United States Department of Defense (DoD) is investigating the possibility that the explosion, which caused multiple casualties at a civilian house where a wedding was taking place in southern IRAN, was caused by a U.S. military bomb that missed a nearby target.
According to reports, the U.S. military carried out an airstrike on the 2nd targeting a communications facility located in a civilian area of ​​the southern Iranian coastal city of Kuheostak. U.S. authorities determined that the facility was partially used for Iranian military operations and deployed United States Navy (USN) fighter jets to drop six bombs.
According to an official familiar with the operation, five of the six bombs dropped landed accurately on the target of the communications tower, but the remaining one was found to have missed its trajectory. Subsequently, the roof of a civilian house located about 130 meters from the tower was destroyed by the explosion, and video footage verified by the Washington Post supports this.
Iranian Deputy Health Minister Ali Jafarian announced that at least two women and two children were killed and more than 90 people were injured in the bombing. However, the Washington Post added that it could not independently verify the scale of the casualties.
