0–4 Turned Into 10–4! Koo Ja-wook and Díaz Explode as Samsung Lions Complete Back-to-Back Comeback Wins on the Road Against LG Twins

His start was shaky. Jurado gave up four consecutive hits at the beginning of the bottom of the first inning and surrendered the opening run. In the top of the fourth, Samsung cut into the deficit with a two-run single by Lewin Díaz with one out and runners on second and third. The Lions tied the game in the fifth. With one out and runners on second and third after Lee Jay-hyun’s walk, Kim Ji-chan’s bunt single, and an error by the opponent, Koo Ja-wook hit a two-run single to make it 4–4. With two outs and a runner on first in the ensuing play, Díaz ripped a go-ahead RBI double into the left-center gap, putting Samsung ahead 5–4.
Samsung’s bats did not slow down after taking the lead. With two outs and runners on second and third in the top of the sixth, Park Seung-kyu hit a two-run single to right, extending the lead to 7–4. In the seventh, Samsung loaded the bases with one out and runners on second and third against LG reliever Woo Kang-hoon, drawing two walks and a hit-by-pitch. The Lions scored two runs on bases-loaded walks and effectively put the game out of reach.

In the top of the ninth, Kim Young-woong launched a solo home run to complete the double-digit scoring and bring the dramatic comeback to a spectacular close. At the plate, Koo Ja-wook went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, Díaz went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, and Park Seung-kyu went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, showcasing the full power of Samsung’s middle of the order.
LG, meanwhile, fell into a two-game losing streak after the painful comeback defeat. The team remained in third place at 68 wins, 1 tie, and 53 losses, but its lead over fourth-place Kia Tigers, who are 66–2–52, shrank to 0.5 games.
