The Korean Meteorological Administration reported that a magnitude 2.1 earthquake occurred at 12:22:35 p.m. on the 6th in waters 104 kilometers north-northwest of Heuksando Island in Sinan County, Jeonnam-Gwangju.
The epicenter was located at 35.55 degrees north latitude and 125.04 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 7 kilometers. The maximum instrumental intensity was I.
The Korean Meteorological Administration expected that the earthquake would cause no damage.
