[Financial News] The police will launch a dedicated body this week to push for fundamental organizational reform.
According to the Korean National Police Agency on the 6th, Acting Commissioner General Kim Jongcheol received work reports from each bureau and department of the Korean National Police Agency for two days starting on the 5th and reviewed plans to launch a dedicated organization for police reform.
The head of the dedicated organization will be a Superintendent General. The specific organizational structure and implementation direction will be disclosed in time for the launch.
Acting Commissioner Kim stated, "The field must change for the police organization to transform, and only then can the public feel the changes in the police," and instructed that the work-specific systems and command and supervision frameworks be continuously inspected and supplemented to ensure there are no gaps.
