Hanwha Aerospace Holds 'Heroes Academy Camp' for Children of Fallen or Deceased Military, Police and Firefighters

[Financial News] Hanwha Aerospace provided children of families of fallen or deceased military and police personnel and firefighters with opportunities to experience national security and explore career paths.
Hanwha Aerospace announced on the 6th that it held the Hanwha Aerospace Heroes Academy Camp in Geoje and Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, from the 3rd to the 4th, together with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (MPVA) and ChildFund Korea.
Heroes Academy is an educational program that helps children of families of fallen or deceased military and police personnel and firefighters explore career paths through a range of experiences. A total of 47 academy students and family members took part in this camp, which was held under the theme “Those Who Protect the Nation.”
On the first day, participants visited the Historic Park of Geoje POW Camp to reflect on the history of the Korean War and the significance of those who devoted themselves to the nation. On the second day, they visited Hanwha Aerospace's Changwon 2 Plant, learned about its defense and aerospace businesses and advanced technologies, and took a ride in a K21 infantry fighting vehicle.
The program also included a conversation with current researchers. Participants heard about work and career paths in the defense industry and had time to explore fields that interested them.
A Hanwha Aerospace official said, "We hope the students spent a valuable time sharing their dreams and supporting one another through this camp," adding, "We will continue providing support so that our scholarship students can discover their potential through diverse experiences and grow in a healthy manner."
Hanwha Aerospace has continued its support with ChildFund Korea since the Heroes Academy launch ceremony and the presentation of sponsorship funds and scholarship certificates in June. Scholarship students receive scholarships tailored to their interests and talents in areas such as academics, sports, the arts and self-directed activities, along with corporate tour camps and scholarship student exchange programs.
