President Lee Posts Video of Panstar Acro’s Voyage, Says, “Wishing It a Safe Return”

[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung said on the 5th, "Together with the public, I hope for the safe voyage and return of the Panstar Acro, the first vessel to pioneer the Northern Sea Route that will open Busan as the southern maritime capital."
President Lee posted a video filmed aboard the Panstar Acro on X, formerly Twitter, that day and wrote this message.
President Lee explained, "This is a video of the voyage filmed at 10 a.m. today aboard the Panstar Acro, the first Korean vessel to pioneer the Northern Sea Route, as it passed through Arctic waters 81 kilometers southwest of Bolshevik Island in Russia." He added, "The vessel is scheduled to leave the Arctic waters under Russian jurisdiction on September 10 and arrive at Felixstowe, England, its first port of call, on September 12."
The Panstar Acro is conducting a trial voyage on the Northern Sea Route. It departed from Busan Newport on the 22nd of last month and entered Arctic waters in earnest on the 31st. This is the first trial voyage by a Korean vessel on the Northern Sea Route in 10 years, since 2016, and the first time a container ship has made the voyage.
