【Financial News Ulsan = Reporter Choi Su-sang】 The Ulsan Center for Sexual Violence Counseling for Persons with Disabilities, an affiliated organization of the Ulsan Association for the Human Rights and Welfare of Persons with Disabilities, held a campaign to raise awareness and prevent violence against persons with disabilities in partnership with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Saemaeul Geumgo.
According to the Ulsan Center for Sexual Violence Counseling for Persons with Disabilities on the 5th, the campaign was held in the concourse of Ulsan Station for two hours from 2 p.m. the previous day. The OX quiz to improve public awareness of persons with disabilities and the violence-prevention outreach conducted at the site drew warm interest and enthusiastic responses from citizens.
Five officials from the Ulsan Center for Sexual Violence Counseling for Persons with Disabilities and one volunteer from Haetsal Day-Use Facility for Persons with Disabilities took part in the campaign. Four employees of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Saemaeul Geumgo, the campaign’s sponsor, also joined, adding significance to the event.

In particular, before the campaign, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Saemaeul Geumgo delivered goods worth 2.8 million won to the Ulsan Center for Sexual Violence Counseling for Persons with Disabilities. The donation was funded by money employees voluntarily raised through an auction of donated personal items, combined with matching-grant funds from Saemaeul Geumgo.
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Saemaeul Geumgo said it deeply shared the importance of improving social awareness of persons with disabilities, protecting their human rights, and preventing violence, and explained that these values motivated the donation.
Kwon Tae-su, chairman of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Saemaeul Geumgo, said, "I hope the small participation and sincerity of our employees will come together to become a great source of strength for our local community." He added, "We will continue to support marginalized and vulnerable groups, while also working consistently to realize social values such as improving awareness of persons with disabilities."
