Samsung Electronics' Bespoke AI Air Conditioner Wins Best of Innovation Award [IFA Berlin 2026]

【Berlin, Germany—Reporter Im Soo-bin】Samsung Electronics announced on the 4th that it had won four Innovation Awards at IFA Berlin 2026, Europe's largest home appliance exhibition, which is being held in Berlin, Germany, through the 8th. 
The Innovation Awards are a global awards program launched by IFA Berlin last year. Samsung Electronics received one Best of Innovation Award and one Innovation Award in the design category, along with two Innovation Awards in the home appliance category, earning recognition for the technological capabilities and design competitiveness of its AI-powered products.
In particular, the Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Pro Wall-Mounted air conditioner won both the Best of Innovation Award in the design category and an Innovation Award in the home appliance category.
Its design was highly praised for reinterpreting an air conditioner as an interior design object that naturally blends into its surroundings, rather than merely serving as a functional appliance.
The Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator won an Innovation Award in the design category. Samsung Electronics created a user-centered, intuitive interface through the large 32-inch screen mounted on the front of the product. Voice ID, which identifies users' voices, and Now Brief, which recommends personalized information, provide customized content such as schedules, photos, and health information. In particular, Samsung combined Google Gemini with AI Vision, which uses an internal camera to recognize food items entering and leaving the refrigerator in real time, significantly expanding the range of food recognition. AI Food Manager recommends recipes tailored to stored ingredients and provides reports analyzing refrigerator usage patterns.
The Bespoke AI Hybrid Four-Door Kitchen Fit Max refrigerator received an Innovation Award in the home appliance category. Its doors can be opened fully with only 4 millimeters of clearance on each side. The product achieves a harmonious fit without requiring separate cabinet construction. By optimizing the thickness of the door insulation, it expands the interior storage space while maintaining the appliance's exterior dimensions, improving both convenience and space efficiency. It also features AI Hybrid Cooling, which operates efficiently according to conditions and usage patterns.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is operating an exhibition space at Humboldt Carré in Berlin, Germany, from the 2nd through the 6th under the theme "Your AI Companion for Everyday Life" during IFA Berlin 2026. At Messe Berlin, the main IFA exhibition venue, it has also established the Samsung Creator Hub, a dedicated space for global influencers and content creators, and is presenting programs that allow visitors to experience the Samsung AI ecosystem.
