[Financial News] The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), an agency under the United States Department of Labor, announced on the 4th local time that nonfarm employment in the United States increased by 162,000 in August from the previous month. The figure exceeded market expectations for an increase of 55,000 to 56,000 jobs. The unemployment rate stood at 4.1% in August, unchanged from the previous month.
