[Financial News] Nongshim Vice President Sang-Yol Shin, a third-generation member of the Nongshim owner family, is set to marry a rank-and-file employee at a telecommunications company.
According to industry sources on the 4th, Sang-Yol Shin is scheduled to marry a female rank-and-file employee of SK Telecom on the 13th.
Sang-Yol Shin, the eldest son of Nongshim Chairman Shin Dong-won, was born in 1993. After graduating from Columbia University, he joined Nongshim’s Corporate Planning Office in 2019. In 2021, just over two years after joining the company, he was selected to head the Purchasing Office as an executive, earning the group’s first “executive in his 20s” title.
He later served as head of the Future Strategy Office, leading the group’s growth strategy and identifying new businesses. After being promoted to executive director in November 2024, he was appointed vice president in January this year, further expanding his management responsibilities.
