【Financial News Tokyo = Correspondent Hye-jin Seo】Lotte Holdings, the holding company of Japan’s Lotte Group, is partnering with Nomura Real Estate to establish a K-pop performance hub in Osaka. The plan calls for a 1,600-seat live venue near Shin-Osaka Station, with the goal of attracting more than 300,000 visitors annually.
According to Yomiuri Shimbun on the 4th, Lotte Holdings and Nomura Real Estate announced the previous day that they would build a live venue called “BEAT PARK OSAKA” in Osaka, with an opening scheduled for March 2028.
The venue will be built on land owned by Lotte Holdings, a three-minute walk from Shin-Osaka Station. In cooperation with South Korea’s Lotte Group, the companies plan to attract performances by Korean, Japanese, and international artists, including K-pop acts. The venue will also be used for corporate functions and local events.
The stage will feature a large high-definition screen and professional sound equipment. The venue will also include spaces where fans can socialize while enjoying food and beverages. The companies are considering offering limited-edition menu items made with Lotte products.
Lotte Holdings President Kenichi Tamatsuka said, "We will make the business a success and strengthen our entertainment operations in Japan."
