[Financial News] An exchange-traded fund (ETF) investing equally in the constituent stocks of the S&P 500, a leading U.S. stock index, and U.S. short-term Treasury bonds will be listed on the Korea Exchange Main Board.
According to KRX on the 4th, Mirae Asset Global Investments’ “TIGER US S&P 500 & US Treasury Bond Mixed 50” ETF is scheduled to be newly listed on the Korea Exchange Main Board on the 8th.
The product is a bond-mixed passive ETF that tracks the “S&P 500 and Short-Term Treasury 50/50 Blend Index” as its underlying index. It will invest 50% each in stocks included in the S&P 500 and U.S. short-term Treasury bonds with one year or less remaining to maturity.
The initial trust principal is scheduled to be 50 billion won, while the price per unit is set at 10,000 won. The total expense ratio is 0.15%, including a 0.109% management fee. The initial trust principal and price per unit will be finalized on the day before listing.
No separate currency hedge will be implemented, so returns may be affected by exchange-rate fluctuations. Differences may also arise between the underlying index’s returns and the fund’s actual performance due to operating costs and the replacement of constituent securities.
KRX plans to disclose the Portfolio Deposit File (PDF) daily through its website and the ETF website of the asset manager so investors can check the product’s portfolio.
Once this product is listed, the total number of ETFs listed in South Korea will rise to 1,168.
