Hyundai Engineering and Construction Proposes The H Mokdong Essere for Mokdong Complex 10 Redevelopment

[Financial News] Hyundai Engineering and Construction has proposed “The H Mokdong Essere” as the name of the complex at Mokdong Complex 10, where a redevelopment project is underway.
Hyundai Engineering and Construction announced the news on the 4th.
Hyundai Engineering and Construction was selected as the preferred negotiating party for the Mokdong Complex 10 redevelopment project. The company explained that the proposed name reflects Mokdong’s identity and symbolic significance. As The H has established itself as Hyundai Engineering and Construction’s premium brand, the proposal appears to place particular emphasis on Mokdong’s symbolic value.
Mokdong Complex 10 is scheduled to be redeveloped from its existing 2,160 units into 4,248 units of up to 40 stories. The estimated construction cost is approximately KRW 2.6135 trillion.
Hyundai Engineering and Construction plans to collaborate on the design of the Mokdong Complex 10 redevelopment project with Morphosis Architects, the global architectural design firm founded by Thom Mayne, a recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, and Sasaki, a global integrated design group.
A Hyundai Engineering and Construction official emphasized, “Mokdong is one of South Korea’s representative residential areas, where the values of housing and education have grown together. We will incorporate the unique symbolism of Mokdong Complex 10 and the pride in education that Mokdong has built over many years to create a prestigious residential complex for the next generation.”
