30 Vocational High School Students from Busan to Undertake Global Field Learning in Australia

[Financial News] Thirty students from 16 vocational high schools in Busan will gain practical experience aligned with their majors and aptitudes through three months of vocational training and workplace practice in Australia.
The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education held the 2026 Global Field Learning Departure Ceremony for Vocational High Schools at its international conference room on the morning of the 4th, encouraging the students as they set out to pursue their dreams.
The global field-learning program for specialized vocational high schools began in 2010. It has been implemented to develop students’ global vocational skills and train professionals with international competitiveness.
Students selected in the first round in May completed 176 hours of online and in-person training through September, after which 30 students from 16 schools were finally selected. They will depart on the 10th and return on December 6.
The 12-week global field-learning program in Australia consists of seven weeks of language training, two weeks of vocational education, and three weeks of workplace practice. Through language training, students will strengthen the foreign-language skills needed for work. They will then gain practical experience suited to their majors and aptitudes through vocational education and workplace practice.
Having built a foundation through 176 hours of preparatory training from May to September, the students are expected to show greater engagement and achieve better results during their studies abroad.
The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education plans to support the students in developing greater self-efficacy and becoming professionals with global vocational skills through this field-learning program.
