'Earth Regeneration Project' Held in Celebration of Resource Recycling Day

[Financial News] The Seoul Water Recycling Facility Corporation announced on the 4th that it will hold the eco-friendly cultural experience event "Earth Regeneration Project" at the outdoor plaza of the Seoul Water Recycling Experience Center to mark "Resource Recycling Day." This event was organized to share with citizens the circular value of "water regeneration," which restores discarded sewage into clean water and eco-friendly energy, by extending it to resource recycling in daily life.
In particular, the foundation organized an experience program linked to the special exhibition 'Revolving Water (Subtitle: Water that flows, gathers, and begins again)' currently being held at the experience hall during the event.
'Resource Recycling Day' is a statutory commemorative day established on September 6 to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the global environment and recycling resources. On this day, the Corporation organized various experiential programs where discarded resources are reborn in a new form, together with local environmental and ecological organizations, companies, and the Seoul Water Recycling Facility Corporation ESG Supporters.
The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on this day at the outdoor plaza of the Seoul Water Recycling Experience Center. Various upcycling programs will take place at the venue, where participants can turn discarded resources into new household items and artworks, including making eco-friendly bookmarks with recycled paper, decorating pouches with discarded banners, experiencing eco-friendly crafts with sea glass, and recycling experiences using Mongdang crayons and waste plastic.
An independent bookstore in Gangseo District specializing in environment and ecology is exhibiting picture books related to resource recycling and operating an 'eco-friendly bookmark making' experience using damaged picture books and recycled paper.
The Seoul Water Recycling Experience Center and the Seoul Water Recycling Facility Corporation ESG Supporters are also operating recycling experiences utilizing discarded crayons and waste plastic. In addition, they are holding a participation event linked to verifying adherence to the center's official social media accounts and utilizing a photo zone.
Hong Nam-ki, Head of the Management and Technology Division at the Seoul Water Recycling Facility Corporation, stated, "The essence of water regeneration, which restores wastewater into clean water and energy, is ultimately closely linked to 'resource circulation.'" He added, "I hope this event serves as an opportunity for citizens to discover the new value of water and other discarded resources in their surroundings, and to practice resource circulation in their daily lives."
