Council of Seoul District Mayors Donates 10 Million Won to Flood-Hit Areas in South Gyeongsang Province

[Financial News] The Council of Seoul District Mayors announced on the 4th that it had delivered a designated donation totaling 10 million won to areas in South Gyeongsang Province that suffered extensive damage from record-breaking torrential rains. The donation was raised to help expedite recovery in areas of South Gyeongsang Province affected by the sudden downpour and to support flood victims. It will be used for disaster recovery, assistance for affected residents, and the stabilization of flood victims’ livelihoods.
The Council of Seoul District Mayors also conveyed its deep condolences to residents of South Gyeongsang Province affected by the torrential rains through a letter of sympathy delivered along with the donation.
The council said, "We extend our heartfelt condolences to all residents who have seen their precious homes and daily lives destroyed by the sudden flooding and are enduring difficult days amid profound loss and anxiety," adding, "We hope that all affected residents can return as soon as possible to safe homes and peaceful daily lives."
Lee Seung-ro, chairman of the Council of Seoul District Mayors, emphasized, "We will provide all necessary support and cooperation to ensure the swift recovery of the affected areas and stabilize the livelihoods of flood victims," adding, "We will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity and cooperation, helping one another and overcoming disasters together."
